Pink Cedar, Ivory Wood, Freijó and Imbuia Wood, sawdust and glass.

The Granulometry series presents the millimetric measurement scale of the leftover sawdust from the rigging of Pink Cedar, Ivory Wood, Freijó and Imbuia wood. The chosen scale is the Fibonacci sequence, a numerical pattern normally found in nature. The wood used in the frame of each piece is the same type of sawdust used in the frame.

In the process of working with wood, sawdust is the leftover. In this work, what would be the leftover is the theme of the work itself, highlighting the production process of the work itself.

It was produced for the solo show Weights and Measures, exhibited in 2018 at the Baró gallery in SP. It was also part of the exhibition Hybrid Inventions, the artist’s solo show at Caixa Cultural SP in 2019.
