It consists of a bicycle that, when pedaled, activates a sound device attached to its back, producing the maracatu rhythm on an agogô. It was produced in the sculpture studios of the Department of Visual Arts at the University of São Paulo, while the artist was still studying for his degree.

In 2003, the Maracatu Bicycle participated in the International Performance Demonstration in Belo Horizonte, MG, being pedaled through the streets of the city center. It was presented in 2005 at the exhibition Vol. – Galeria Vermelho.
