A Music Generator is a type of music box that generates random music using electronic circuits. It is activated by pressing a button (play). When activated, it produces variations in notes for approximately 3 minutes. It always plays a sequence of different and undetermined notes. The sound is generated by percussion on brass plates. The tone is reminiscent of toy pianos. The speed of the music can be controlled.
