Wooden object connected to a mouse by means of electromechanical circuits. Wood, mouse, electromagnets, electronic circuits and steel strings
Ernesto Neto Collection

An object similar to a guitar neck that contains two strings and a mouse attached to its body by means of electromechanical circuits. When the mouse is clicked, it activates a device that generates pre-defined rhythms by striking the strings. Each button on the mouse has a programmed rhythm. If two or more buttons are clicked at the same time, the rhythms are superimposed, generating a huge possibility of creating rhythms.

The Polyrhythmic Object was exhibited in 2004 at Galeria A Gentil Carioca – Rio de Janeiro. In the last photo, Marcio Botner trying out the work.
