Solar Cricket n1 is a 3D electronic puzzle. It has an electronic circuit that produces a sound similar to that produced by a cricket in nature. The artist analyzed the sound of a cricket visually from the waveform. Based on the time periods, an electronic circuit was designed that simulates the sound of a cricket. Several crickets together produce the effect of a sound environment populated by many crickets. The sculpture is powered by solar or artificial light energy.

This installation was an integral part of the exhibition Mapas Invisíveis – Caixa Cultural Vitrine da Paulista – São Paulo, 2011
