This is the fourth version of the Solar Cricket series. A sculpture powered by solar or artificial light energy. When illuminated, it activates an electronic circuit that produces a sound similar to that produced by a cricket in nature. The artist analyzed the sound of a cricket visually from the waveform. Based on the time periods, an electronic circuit was designed that synthesizes the sound of a cricket by means of electronic oscillators. In this fourth version, the sculpture was designed to have the characteristics of an industrialized electronic board, creating a contrast with other manufactured elements that make up the sculpture. The fact that most creatures in nature are symmetrical was also taken into consideration. Therefore, the electronic circuit was designed so that the components were distributed side by side, maintaining the symmetry of this small sculpture. It has a small potentiometer to adjust the frequency at which the sound is emitted.
