Solar Dragonfly is a kinetic sculpture. Its shape is inspired by the dragonfly. It has solar cells in its abdomen that convert solar energy into electricity. The energy generated by the solar cells sets two pairs of wings in motion and also blinks two eyes on the sculpture’s head.
Solar Dragonfly is part of the Solar Animals series composed of sculptures inspired by beings from nature. They have solar cells that convert solar energy into electricity, activating sound or movement in the sculptures.
