Sonorous Places is the action of physically striking objects or structures found in places using a keyboard (Concrete Decaphonic Keyboard). It is a work of sound intervention in the place. The concrete decaphonic keyboard is a portable wooden keyboard, to which hammers are connected via electric cables. The hammers can be easily attached to any material that can be struck. There are 10 hammers in total. The idea is to transform the place or objects found in the place into sound matter. There is also the intention of producing spatialized percussive sounds. The Concrete Decaphonic Keyboard allows the performer to touch distant points without leaving the place. It serves as an interface that connects man to place through sound.
It participated in the Annual Exhibition Program of the São Paulo Cultural Center in 2005, when it received an acquisition award and entered the institution’s collection.
