Two identical objects, made of wood and radio communication circuits
ASU Museum Collection, Arizona, USA
Consists of a pair of identical objects where one needs the other to work. In shape they are similar to the berimbau and have a radio circuit (transmission and reception) built into the body. They work at a distance of up to 30 meters from each other. It should be used for communication between two players. When the string is struck with the drumstick, a signal is sent to the other player who hears the beats transformed into beeps. In this way, it can be used for communication in Morse code or for transmitting a rhythm.
