The Thunder Machine is a work that produces a sound and visual composition inspired by the moment before the rain. All the sound produced is of acoustic and mechanical origin. Among the sound elements is a copper plate that when vibrating at low frequencies reproduces the sound of a gale and when vibrating at high frequencies produces a thunderclap sound. A string produces various harmonics through an electromagnetic feedback system. Inside a small window are the lightning bolts. Silence also enters as an important element in the composition. Every composition is random where each element has a certain probability of occurring.
