Spider web n1 is a sound installation composed of numerous oscillators and a proximity sensor. Composed of stretched and overlapping electrical and nylon wires, the work also resembles veins and neural connections. It is an installation that is completely open and transparent. It looks like a drawing suspended in the air. The sensor detects human proximity and triggers the emission of different types of harmonic and high-pitched sounds, which are on the edge of audibility. The result is a mass of sound that resembles the sounds of fax and dial-up network connections.
